Older Drivers in Canada

Website:  http://www.olderdriversafety.ca/

From the website:

The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), launched the National Blueprint for Injury Prevention in Older Drivers in February 2009. The Blueprint strives to enhance the capacity of older adults to maintain their fitness to drive and ability to drive safely for as long as possible. In partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada, CAOT has continued to work diligently on this initiative and is pleased to launch an Older Driver’s Safety website (www.olderdriversafety.ca ) and a series of informational brochures.

This information will communicate the impact of normal aging and prevalent health conditions on safe driving and provide useful tips based on scientific evidence of high risk situations and risk-reducing strategies.
