DO NOT DELIVER LIST |
At times, it is not a good idea for someone to have alcohol delivered to their home.
In Manitoba, it is possible to have an address put onto the Do Not Deliver list with the Home Delivery program of the Manitoba Liquor Marts. This is quite helpful when there is a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other dementia or neurocognitive disorder. Doctor's orders to refrain from drinking alcohol may not be adhered to if the person cannot remember the doctor telling him/her that.
To
stop the home delivery of alcohol to a specific address, a note from the Power of Attorney and/or the Doctor can be forwarded to the Manitoba Liquor and
Lotteries (MBLL):
The Home Delivery Program phone number is: (204) 987-8555
Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Head Office: (2040 957-2500, ext. 5561
Email: retail.admin@MBLL.ca
Address: MBLL, 1555 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 1L9
If someone calls for home delivery, and his/her address is on the Do Not Deliver list, s/he will be told, "Sorry, we cannot deliver to you." If they want answers, they will be referred to the Head Office for information.
